Dr. Patricia Richards is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM) through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is nationally licensed to practice acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She provides holistic, patient‑centered care in Highlands Ranch, serving the greater South Denver community.

Dr. Richards has completed more than 4,000 hours of academic and clinical training in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and integrative health. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology with Cum Laude distinction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 2017. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) at Wongu University of Oriental Medicine in 2022, followed by her Doctorate of Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine specialization (DAcCHM) from Pacific College of Health & Science (PCHS) in 2025.

Growing up in the Canadian foster care system and witnessing the effects of mental illness within her family, Patricia developed a lifelong interest in preventive medicine, nutrition, hydration, adequate sleep, daily movement, and stress management.

In her early forties, Patricia experienced the benefits of acupuncture firsthand while seeking relief from perimenopause‑related migraines and work‑related fatigue and stress. Her healing experience inspired a midlife career transition from the hospitality industry into the healing arts.

Dr. Richards specializes in women’s health, including perimenopause and post menopausal support, chronic stress, fatigue, emotional health, sleep issues, and pain. Her approach blends classical Chinese medicine with evidence‑informed practices to support the body’s natural ability to heal. She is committed to helping both men and women in Highlands Ranch and the surrounding areas feel more balanced, resilient, and connected to their well‑being.

Dr. Richards is currently completing continuing education in Dr. Mikio Sankey’s Esoteric Acupuncture, as well as microneedling and facial rejuvenation techniques.

Outside the clinic, Patricia enjoys self‑improvement, mind-body-spirit connection, cooking, hiking, traveling, and spending time in the great outdoors.
